| Color Gamut Evaluation of Materials/Components for Next-Generation Displays. Gamut Rings (GR-55) is a novel method for visualizing a CIELAB color space in two dimensions, uniquely including not only RGB but also CMY luminance direction. GR-55 provide 1) intuitively and quantitatively visualize color gamut, 2) measurement possible under ambient light identical to actual environments, 3) very high-speed measurement/display of various color gamut. The Prometheus Viewfinder Spectrometer features a camera and a special lens unit. Its built-in camera shows the measurement area (spot) on the software screen and automatically focuses the lens based on the entered distance to the measurement target. This ensures optimal measurement conditions for not only flat panel type but also all types of displays, such as head up display, aerial displays, holograms, and AR/VR. Future plans involve integrating this spectrometer with the Gamut Rings system (GR-55). |
