Instructions for Attendees

Basic Session Structure

The 27th International Display Workshops (IDW ’20) will be held between December 9th (Wednesday) and 11th (Friday). All the proceedings, short poster video and poster presentation slide PDF will be open to the conference attendees from 8:00 AM (JST) on December 9, 2020. The presentation materials and also the VOD, recorded session video will be available to attendees until January 31, 2021.

Access to Virtual Conference

All the zoom webinar and poster presentation video links are available in the Online Program site (confit).
After you have registered for the conference, you will receive an email titled "[idw2020] Your Login Information". There are a Log-in ID and Password.
Should you lose your Password, you may re-set and reissue the Password from "Forgot password?”

Oral Session

  • Join in live question and answers in the oral sessions.
  • Join 3 minutes before the Session: Webinar will open with the recording.
  • 1 minute before the Session: The Session Chairs will introduce themselves.
  • Beginning of the Session: The Session Chair will start the session.
  • A live Q&A Session will be held, with each talk moderated by the Session Chair.
  • Author Interviews via online chat tool “Guilded”.

Poster Session

  • Poster Sessions will consist of viewing time, short oral presentations by VOD, and presentation slide pdf file. There will also be a discussion time using the online chat tool “Guilded”.
  • Join in the poster Q&A session through the online chat tool “Guilded” on 17:10-18:10 (JST), December 10, and answer questions.

Please install Zoom and Guilded in advance. To open “Guilded” account, please see the Online Program.

Oral Session

  • Click on the session link in the Online Program. If you are joining before the webinar starts, please wait in the lobby until the host starts the webinar.
  • Q&A in Sessions
    • The Session Chair will ask attendees to write questions in the Q&A box on the Zoom webinar.
    • The Session Chairs will select questions and ask presenters to answer.
  • Author Interviews will be held after Oral session. Please discuss details with the author using the online chat tool “Guilded”. Please see the Online Program in detail

Poster Session

  • Click on the VOD link and presentation slide pdf file link in the Online Program.
  • You can discuss details with an author using the online chat tool “Guilded” not only during poster sessions discussion time but also anytime throughout IDW '20.
